School Registrar, JLA Miami

The Jewish Leadership Academy is a new world-class Jewish Middle and High School designed to develop the skills, curiosity, and potential of Miami’s most ambitious students for a life of purpose, commitment, and service.
As JLA’s team continues to grow, the school is looking for a full time Registrar to report directly to the CFO/ COO. This is an in-person position at our temporary offices in Aventura, and will be located in our new state-of-the art campus in the Pinewood neighborhood of Miami in August 2023.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The position includes, but are not limited to these primary areas of responsibility:
- Supervise student registration
- In-house expert in school’s Student Information System and Learning Management System, including training new faculty and staff
- Develops and publishes information documents including, but not limited to, student schedules, faculty schedules, and class rosters
- Responsible for updating and maintaining student academic records
- Responsible for managing daily attendance records
- Ensure student information is confidential and secure
- Oversee the distribution of student progress reports and report cards
- Handling all transcript and transfer requests
- Participates in the development and implementation of the school’s policies and procedures regarding student registration, instructional space, scheduling and graduation requirements
- Support the business office with other duties and projects as assigned or needed
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree; at least 5+ years experience as a registrar for a similar institution. In addition, the candidate will:
- Have an excitement to learn and grow within the position and organization
- Be capable of managing many tasks and projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines
- Be highly tech savvy with a strong foundation in database construction, management, and retrieval methods as well as the Microsoft and Google suites. Working knowledge of Canvas (JLA’s LMS) and Veracross (JLA’s SIS) is an asset
- Demonstrate self-motivation and commitment to delivering an outstanding customer support experience.
- Work collaboratively with all stakeholders utilizing good conflict resolution and people management skills
- Have strong problem solving skills and organizational skills
- Demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills
